Mark Andrews is a professional American football player in the National Football League. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens and has been playing as a tight end for them since 20189. Andrews has appeared in the Pro Bowl twice, once in 2019 and a second time in 2021. He also played collegiate football for the University of Oklahoma from 2014 to 2017.

Mark Andrews was born on September 6, 1995, in Scottsdale, Arizona. A tight end, he stands 196 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 116 kg. He has Type 1 Diabetes and he wears an insulin pump aside from when he is playing football. He is an outspoken advocate of the condition and often gives talks to young people about dealing with the condition.

High School and College Career

He attended Desert Mountain High School where he was a wide receiver. He holds the state high school record for the second-most career receptions. His record was broken by Kade Warner. Andrews was high school teammates with Kyle Allen.

Recruiting agencies considered him one of the top recruits by the time he was a senior. After going through his college offers, he decided to commit to playing for the University of Oklahoma. Some of the accolades he received while playing college football include being named a Unanimous All-American. He was also given the John Mackey Award and the Ozzie Newsome Award.

Professional Career

After forgoing the rest of his college eligibility, he signed to play for the Baltimore Ravens who drafted him into the NFL during the 2018 NFL Draft. He was the 86th overall pick of the draft. The team signed him to a four-year contract in May 2018. He closed the regular season having rushed 552 yards.

In 2019, he was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time. In 2021, the Ravens signed him to a four-year extension that was worth a reported US$37.6 million. He was named to the Pro Bowl again this year and he was also named to the First-team All-Pro.
