Jamison Crowder is an American footballer, the wide receiver of the NFL team Buffalo Bills. He is a graduate of Duke University, holding a degree in sociology and a minor in African and African American studies.Crowder has a younger brother with Down syndrome.
Career
Jamison Crowder was famously known as a three-year letterman under coach Johny Sowell back at Monroe High School. With coach Sowell’s help, Crowder made a 3-year record of 29-10 with 3 state playoff berths.Rivals.com rated Crowder a 3-star recruit. On the other hand, ESPN.com named him the number 65 athlete in the country.
Crowder went to college at Duke University, where he played football from 2011 to 2014. He trained under head coach David Cutcliffe and recorded 14 receptions for 163 yards and 1 touchdown in 12 games.
In sophomore year, he became a starter and played in all 13 dames. In 2013 as a junior, he was a starter in all 14 games. He finished the season with an ACC-record of 108 receptions for 1,360 yards and 8 touchdowns.
He finished his college career with 283 receptions, 23 touchdowns, and 5 punt returns for touchdowns.
Crowder entered the NFL in 2015. He was selected by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. On May 11, 2015, he signed a 4-year contract with them.
In his rookie season, he broke the team record for reception by a rookie, previously held by Art Monk. He recorded 59 receptions for 604 yards in that season, breaking this record, plus 2 touchdowns.
In the 2016 season, Crowder made some notable accomplishments. He became the first Redskins player to return a punt 85 yards for a touchdown. Crowder also recorded his fourth 100-yard game. He finished with 67 receptions for 847 yards and 7 touchdowns.
In 2017, he made 66 receptions for 789 yards and 3 touchdowns. In the 2018 season, he recorded 29 receptions for 388 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns.
Crowder signed a 3-year contract with the New York Jets in 2019. His debut season with the team recorded 78 receptions for 833 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns. He led the team in all main categories for receiving.
In 2020, Crowder made his first career touchdown pass. He signed a 1-year deal with the Buffalo Bills on March 22, 2022.
