Nick Chubb is an active American professional football running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL).
He is best known for his seven-year tenure with the Cleveland Browns.

Nicholas Jamaal Chubb was born on December 27, 1995, in Cedartown, Georgia, United States of America. The running back stands 180 cm tall, and plays at a listed weight of 103 kg.He attended Cedartown High School in his hometown, where he was a spectacular two-sport star in football and track. Committing to the University of Georgia, Chubb played college football for the Bulldogs from 2014 to 2017.
He made an immediate impact, earning SEC Freshman of the Year and First-team All-SEC honors in 2014. Despite facing adversity, he bounced back to form a dynamic backfield duo with Sony Michel and concluded his senior campaign as a Second-team All-SEC selection in 2017.
Professional Career
Chubb was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round (35th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.He quickly became the offensive engine for the Browns, known for his incredible contact balance, downhill running style, and quiet, lead-by-example demeanor. Throughout his seven seasons in Cleveland, he consistently ranked among the league's rushing leaders, earning four consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2019 to 2022.
He reached the absolute pinnacle of his individual performance during the 2022 season, rushing for over 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns, which earned him a prestigious Second-team All-Pro honor.
In 2025, after a remarkable run with the Browns that saw him amass 7,349 rushing yards and 54 rushing touchdowns, Chubb entered a new chapter of his professional career by signing a free-agent contract with the Houston Texans.
Entering the 2026 NFL season, he continues to play for the Texans.
