Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a professional American football player. As of the 2022 season, he plays in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs. Before joining the NFL, he played collegiate football for Louisiana State University.

College and Professional Career
He played at LSU from 2017 to 2019. In his last year with the University, he helped his time become the CFP National Champions in 2019. In the same year, he was also named to the First-team All-ACC.
Going into his junior season, he was named as the University’s starting running back. He was also on the watch list as a possible recipient of the Paul Hornung Awards and the Maxwell Award.
Edwards-Helaire was drafted into the NFL by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was the starting running back as a replacement for Damien Williams by Week 1 in 2020. When he was just 21, he became the youngest player in the history of the NFL to rush at least 130 yards and score a touchdown on his debut.
He injured his knee in Week 5 of 2021 and he was placed on the injured reverse in October 2021. A month later in November, he was re-activated. He ended the season by rushing 517 yards.
