Kent did not begin playing football until he tried out for the team during his junior year in 2005. His multi-sport dominance made him the first three-sport letterman at Oregon since World War II and the first in the history of the Pac-10 Conference.

Personal Life and Post-Playing Career

Following his playing days, Kent transitioned into a highly successful career as a broadcaster and entrepreneur. Professional Career

Despite his incredibly late start to competitive football, his elite athleticism caught the attention of NFL scouts. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks during the 2007 NFL Draft. They picked him in round 6, and he was the 210th overall selection.

During his professional career, Kent's start was delayed as an injury prevented him from participating in the 2007 NFL Combine. He initially signed with the Seahawks' practice squad but worked his way up, eventually being promoted to the active roster in October 2008. He spent two seasons with the Seahawks before being released in September 2009.

In November 2009, he signed with the St. Louis Rams. He spent the remainder of the 2009 season with the franchise before being cut in 2010.
