Logan Payne was born in January 21, 1985 in Tampa. Florida. From elementary to high school, he lettered in baseball, basketball, and football. Wide receiver Logan Payne played his college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. In 2007, he was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent although he did not play in any games that year.
Payne has been an active member of various teams like the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and even the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2008, Payne made 2 passes for 25 yards in the Seahawks opener season, though he suffered a medial collateral ligament in his right knee in week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers. The team had to cut him from their practice squad on 1st October, 2009.
Soon after, Payne joined the Detroit Lions practice squad. Four days later, he got released from the Lions practice squad. On 23rd December, 2009, he was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. On 21st May, 2010, he joined the Minnesota Vikings team and got released on 4th September as part of the final cuts prior to the start of the NFL season 2010. By 9th October, he joined the team of New York Jets and has been an active player for the team till date.

Payne, at six-foot-two and 205 pounds, is the right size for a NFL receiver. He’s a fine athlete with solid route running chops, sure hands and a fine leap. His speed is better than average but not elite. He’s an able and willing blocker with an excellent work ethic.
