Jeff Driskell
Jeffrey Adam Driskel is an American Football player born on April 23, 1993. He holds the position of quarterback for the Houston Texans, which is part of the National Football League. In college, he played for Florida and Louisiana Tech. In the 2016 NFL Draft, he was picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the 6th round. In 2018, he played for the Cincinnati Bengals, which was considered her NFL career start. He also played for other teams like the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos.
During her younger years, he attended Paul J. Hagerty High School, where he played both football and basketball. His record during high school was 4,844 yards and 36 touchdowns. During his senior year, he was awarded the Maxwell Football Club National High School Player of the Year and the Gatorade Florida Player of the Year.
Driskel was signed by the 49ers and awarded a $2.45 million contract and signing bonus worth $122,539. He began training for the quarterback position. Unfortunately, he had an injury that made him compete for the third-string quarterback post against Christian Ponder. He was waived by the 49ers in September 2016. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals the next day.
He made his NFL debut on October 21, 2018, in relief of Andy Dalton. He threw his first professional touchdown to Tyler Boy in Week 12. Unfortunately, Driskell was placed on injured reserve on August 31,2019.
He then joined the Detroit Lions. After several games, he was placed on injured reserve on November 30, 2019. The following year, he signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos. He came in place after Drew Lock was injured. He managed 256 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Driskell was placed on reserve after becoming positive for Covid. He was fined for violating health protocols. He was released by the Broncos on May 3, 2021. He is currently under the Houston Texans for a one-year contract.
