David Mikel Tyree is a retired wide receiver along with a special teams player. He played his college football for Syracuse University and was chosen by the Giants as the 211th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft.

As a member of the Syracuse Orange receiving squad, Tyree was 13th overall in career receiving yards, accumulating 1,214. He was also a fine special teams player, blocking six punts.

In five seasons with the Giants, the wideout has played in 72 games, averaging 12.0 YPC and scoring four touchdowns. In that time, he's fumbled the ball once, losing it. On special teams, Tyree had made 71 tackles, including 62 solo stops. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens team on 13th October, 2009 after working out with the team of Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tyree is central on Giants' special teams and also serves as a backup receiver. At six-foot and 206 pounds, he is not especially large, but he makes up for his lack of bulk and height in energy and toughness. His catching skills, football instincts and athleticism are all better than average. He's a fine blocker, an essential player on coverage and a number four or five receiver.
