Fletcher Cox
Fletcher Cox is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the defensive tackle position for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is a Super Bowl Champion
Born on December 13, 1990 in Mississippi, Cox ran track while playing basketball and football at Yazoo City High School. He then went on to play for the Mississippi State University where he was considered as one of the top recruits in the nation. Cox declared for the 2012 NFL Draft where he was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles.
During his rookie season, he played 15 games and recorded 39 tackles, 4 passes defended, and 5.5 sacks. He played defensive end in the 2013 season and recorded 44 tackles, 3 passes defended, and three sacks in 16 games. Cox had a breakout season in 2014 where he recorded 61 tackles in 16 games.
He was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time and was ranked 49th in the Top 100 Players in the league in 2015. He went up to rank 38 in the following season and was selected for the Pro Bowl again. Cox received his first Super Bowl ring in 2017 when the Eagles won against the New England Patriots.
His current player statistics are 327 total tackles, 44.5 sacks, 10 fumble recoveries, 12 pass deflections, 2 defensive touchdowns.
