Ezekiel Elliott is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the running back position for the Dallas Cowboys. Elliot is a two-time Pro Bowler and a two-time NFL rushing yards leader.

Born on July 22, 1995, in Illinois, Elliott has an athletic pedigree and played baseball, track, basketball, and football while attending John Burroughs School.
He then attended Ohio State University where he received many individual awards for his football prowess. In the 2016 NFL Draft, he was selected fourth overall by the Dallas Cowboys.

Professional Career
In his first season, he was ranked fourth among all the running backs in the league. He was named into his first career Pro Bowl and was voted by his peers as the 7th top player in the NFL.
Elliot’s performance in the 2017 season was hampered by his suspension and he went down to rank 54 in the Top 100 Players of 2018.
During the 2018 season, he became the fastest to reach 25 touchdowns on the ground in the franchise. Elliot also won the rushing title for the second time.
In 2019, the Cowboys picked up the fifth-year option on his contract but he demanded a contract extension instead. The team later granted him a six-year contract extension that was worth $90 million.
The 2020 season saw Elliot finish with 979 rushing yards and six touchdowns. In 2021, he started in all 17 Cowboys games. The team also restructured his contract to allow for a salary cap space.
