David DeCastro is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the guard position for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and is generally considered as one of the finest guard prospects available.

Born on January 11, 1990 in Kirkland, DeCastro played football and track for the Bellevue High School. He then attended Stanford where he received several athletic honors. He declared for the 2012 NFL Draft and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

During his rookie year, he suffered for a severe knee injury but was able to start in the last three games of the season. In 2013, he was named as Pro Football Focus’ fifth best right guard. He was able to start in all 16 games of the 2014 season. In 2015, he was named to the Pro Bowl and was the 9th best offensive guard by Sports Illustrated.

In 2016, he was named to second consecutive Pro Bowl and was ranked third best by Pro Football Focus. His third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance came in 2017 and he also ranked 44th in the Top 100 Players of 2018. He fractured his right hand during the 2018 season but was still able to rank high among qualifying offensive guards. David DeCastro has played 96 games and started in 95 of them.
