A.J. Bouye is an American former professional football cornerback who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He navigated an incredible path from an undrafted free agent to an elite Pro Bowl selection and Second-team All-Pro cornerstone for one of the most dominant defensive secondaries in modern NFL history. He has played for the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Arlandus Jacob Bouye was born on August 16, 1991, in Tucker, Georgia, USA. The cornerback stands 183 cm tall, and his playing weight was listed at 87 kg.He attended Tucker High School in Georgia, where he excelled as a standout defensive back and track athlete, helping lead his football team to a state championship title in 2008. Committing to the University of Central Florida (UCF). Bouye suited up for the Knights from 2009 to 2012.
Professional Career
Bouye went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft but signed as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans.In March 2017, Bouye signed a lucrative five-year, $67.5 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Paired opposite Jalen Ramsey, Bouye anchored the boundary for the legendary "Sacksonville" defense that completely paralyzed opposing passing attacks. He enjoyed a spectacular 2017 peak campaign, leading the team with six interceptions to comfortably claim a Pro Bowl nod and a Second-team All-Pro selection while guiding the Jaguars to the AFC Championship Game.
Bouye was traded to the Denver Broncos in 2020, where he started seven games despite battling a string of shoulder and concussion setbacks. He completed his final professional football season in 2021 after signing a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, providing veteran leadership and starting seven games before a late-season foot injury ended his campaign.
He officially retired from active playing with 366 total tackles, 75 pass deflections, and 14 career interceptions across 100 regular-season appearances.
