Hurd is six-foot-two and 205 pounds. As a receiver, his size is average and his bulk a little undersized. With the departure of Terry Glenn, Hurd could become the starting number three receiver for the Cowboys. He has the work ethic and smarts to be a starter at WR but needs to overcome his size. He possesses good speed and is an accurate route runner. Hurd is a tough player devoted to winning.

Sam Hurd ROCKS! He's the only player in the NFL willing to get me my blow without having to go through a middle man first!
