Quarterback Cleo Lemon, Jr. is a Canadian professional football player for the Toronto Argonauts of CFL. Nicknamed as "The Lem", he played his college football with Arkansas State, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens in 2002.

Lemon played in 42 contests during his four-year college career. At Arkansas State, he threw 1,128 passes, completing 551 of them. His passes covered 7,706 yards as he hit for 48 touchdowns and 33 interceptions. He holds Arkansas State records for passing yards, touch down passes and completions.

After signing with the Ravens in 2002, Lemon was assigned to the practice squad of the Berlin Thunder in NFL Europe. He was later released by the Ravens. The San Diego Chargers gave him a contract in 2003. From 2003 through 2005, the QB was either on the practice squad or a rostered player. On October 18, 2005, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins. He was inactive that first season. In 2006, he saw some action and then the following season he started numerous games when various Miami quarterbacks were incapacitated.

In two seasons with Miami, Lemon played in a total of 13 games. He completed 56.0-percent of his passes, throwing for 2,185 yards. He hit for eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. His rating was 72.2.

After a solid 2007 season, he signed a three-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars worth about $9 million. On 17th June, 2009, he was released from the Jaguars and signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2002 as a street free agent. He was re-signed with the team on 16th August 2009 and waived on 1st September due to family issues. By 17th March, 2010, he signed with the Toronto Argonauts and by 22nd June, he was named as the quarterback of the team.

At six-foot-two and 215 pounds, Lemon is undersized for the NFL. He's a fine athlete with good arm strength. The QB is capable of making all NFL throws. He works the pocket well but is not a threat to run. In 2007, it was clear that he had some good tools and possessed the ability to improve over the course of the season. Lemon should serve the Jags well as their backup.
