So, who will meet this year in the big game? With just a few weeks left in the 2008-2009 season, the picture is starting be as clear as it might me at this time. 
From the AFC, it’s the Tennessee Titans. The Titans were thought to be contenders before the season started, and the 12-1 team has done what it has had to do to prove itself, including beating all division opponents. The club has a tough defense that has allowed a total of just 184 points in 13 games. They’ve scored 332 points over the same period. Both rank them second in the conference.
A week ago, I would have picked the New York Giants as the winner of the NFC. But with the latest trouble involving Plaxico Burress, the Carolina Panthers, who lead the NFC South, are looking good. They’ve scored 323 points and allowed 254. That puts them third in points scored and third in points allowed.
That’s my take. The Super Bowl will feature the Tennessee Titans from the AFC and the Carolina Panthers from the NFC. The Titans will be the Super Bowl Champions of 2008- 2009. You heard it here first.
