Bowl- out or bowl- off is a procedure to decide a winner in case of a tie in some forms of one day cricket. A bowl- out is carried out by asking five different bowlers of each team to bowl a ball each at an unguarded wicket. The team which hits the wickets the maximum number of times after the bowl- out is declared as the winner. The winner of the game may be decided by sudden death if the teams have equal hits after a bowl- out.
