The term leg before wicket refers to a batman’s leg or body blocking the wicket. If the ball bowled by a bowler misses the bat and hits the leg of the batsman and if the ball would have hit the wicket if it was not for the batsman’s leg the batsman may be declared out on the pretext of leg before wicket
