The Western Province Cricket Team represents the Western half of Cape Province in the domestic first-class Cricket in South Africa. The home ground of this team is Newlands in Cape Town. The team began playing cricket in January 1890.

In 1990s, Western Province joined hands with Boland to form a side that now plays in the SuperSport Series under the name of Cape Cobras and also divides its time between Boland Park and Newlands ground in Paarl. Founded in 1864, this club officially opened its own sports center in Rondebosch in 2003.
