The Botswana National Cricket Team represents Botswana Country in International Cricket matches. This team has been an associated member of the International Cricket Council since 2005. Previously, it was an affiliate member since 2001. At present, the team is in Division Five of the World Cricket League. The team is ranked at the 29th position at the international level. Under the captaincy of Tshepo Mhozya, the team is positioned in the second place in the World Cricket League Africa Region Division. The Manager of this team is Ahmed Fazal Sheriff.

Record statistics

The first match played by the Botswana National Cricket Team was in 2002 against the Zambia team in Lusaka, Zambia. This team also received a regional position in the fifth place with right to non testing rank grounds. In Botswana, cricket was first played due to initiative taken by some of the emigrants from South Africa and India.

Since 2005, the Botswana National Cricket Team has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council. It is placed in the division five of the World Cricket League. This team won the African Affiliate 2005 ICC Trophy. Even though, this team got qualified to the final round of the match, they missed out on their first ICC Trophy itself.
