Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe is a South African cricket player who plays domestic cricket for Titans team apart from South Africa team in Limited overs cricket. In 2011, he was signed by the Delhi Daredevils team for IPL 2011. This right hand middle order batsman and a slow left arm orthodox bowler is an all rounder. Presently, he has been retained by the Delhi Daredevils team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

In 2004, Van der Merwe got selected in the team of South Africa for the under 19 cricket world cup, playing in 5 matches, scoring 129 runs and taking 3 wickets. After two years, he made his first class debut and by 2008, he got selected for the South Africa Academy to play against the Bangladesh team, in the second of the 5 match series, scoring 79 from 70 balls.

Roelof was selected in the Twenty20 squad of South Africa for their 2 Twenty20 international matches held in 2009 against Australia. He made his debut in the second of these matches, scoring 48 from 30 balls, including 4 sixes. He was awarded as the man of the match for taking a maiden international wicket of David Hussey. Post this performance, he was added to the men squad for the One day international series to cover Jacques Kallis. He made his ODI debut in the second match of the series at SuperSport Park, bowling five wicketless overs.
