In Women’s cricket, one of the most naturally gifted cricketers is obviously Kate Pulford. She bats at the top of the order, hits hard and has the capacity to post early runs on the scoreboard thereby setting up a match winning total. She is exemplary in fielding and displays quick bowling. Due to all these qualities, she is a major asset to the TelstraClear White Ferns team.

During the winter 2002 tour to Europe, White Ferns selected Pulford. In the tri series final against England, she scored a match winning 55. On the same tour, while playing against the Netherlands at Utrecht, she took 4 wickets for 5 runs, which are her best bowling figures.
