Dhiman Ghosh

In March 2008, a 3 match ODI series was played between Bangladesh and South Africa in which Dhiman Ghosh was one of the 4 uncapped players. Prior to this selection, he made his first class debut in 2004-05 as a representative of the Chittagong Division. He was then a talented young wicketkeeper batsman.

In the 2003-04 season, he was selected in the Bangladesh A team and further for Under 19 games in the same season. He was preferred over Mushfiqur Rehman as the first choice wicketkeeper for the Bangladesh national team. However, he joined the rebel ICL in 2008 and put an end to his international career. He became a member of Dhaka Warriors. Due to this decision, the BCB handed him a 10 year ban.

Dhiman Ghosh has participated in 40 first class matches wherein he has accumulated 1820 runs with 115 as his highest score. His batting average was 28.88 and batting strike rate was 63.88. He posted 2 centuries and 8 fifties. As a wicketkeeper he took 98 catches and stumped 11 batsmen. He also took the opportunity to bowl 289 deliveries in which 178 runs were scored and 9 dismissals were made. His economy rate was 3.69 and bowling strike rate was 32.1.
