Dawn Holden
Dawn Holden was a Right handed batsman and a Left arm slow orthodox bowler with the English national women’s cricket team. She has also played for the Western Australia Women, Queensland Women and West Midlands Women cricket teams.
Dawn Holden made her debut in International cricket in a One day International cricket match against the Netherlands Women’s team in 1999 at Nykobing Mors. Holden bowled 8 overs giving away 16 runs and claimed the wicket of Caroline Rambaldo. She did not need to come to bat as the England won the match by 6 wickets. In 2001, in a match against Australia women’s team, Holden made her test debut at Shenley. In the first innings, Holden scored 7 runs off 41 balls and was dismissed by Cathryn Fitzpatrick. She bowled 21 overs and claimed the wickets of Olivia Magno and Cathryn Fitzpatrick giving away 62 runs. The spell also included 4 maiden overs. In the second innings, Holden remained not out at 4 runs as the Australian women won the match by an innings and 140 runs. Holden played her last match against New Zealand in 2004 and eventually retired.
