Ryan O’Neal Hinds is a slow left arm orthodox bowler and a left handed batsman with the West Indies cricket team. He has also played for the Barbados cricket team.

Ryan Hinds started playing first class cricket for Barbados in 1998 at the Commonwealth games at the age of 17. Later on, he was the captain of the 2000 Youth World Cup West Indies under-19 team. Hinds made his debut in International cricket in a One Day International match against Zimbabwe at Kandy. He bowled 5 overs which was an expensive affair giving away 27 runs. He later played a 16 runs knock and remained not out to give the West Indies an 8 wicket victory.

In 2002, Hinds made his debut in test cricket in a match against Pakistan in Sharjah. His 4 overs were expensive as the Pakistanis scored 31 runs off it in the first innings. He played an impressive 62 runs which included 7 fours. In the second innings, Hinds was the last man on the pitch with 9 runs before the West Indies were defeated by 170 runs.

In 2007, Hinds was named as the captain to the Barbados team and steered the tea to the Carib Beer Cup. In a total of 14 ODI’s, Hinds has scored 101 runs and claimed 6 wickets. He also scored 505 runs taking 13 wickets in 15 test matches that he has played.
