Rajin Saleh is a right handed batsman and a right arm offbreak bowler with the Bangladesh Cricket team. He has also played for the Bangladesh A and the Sylhet Division teams.

Rajin Saleh started playing first class cricket in 2000. He made his International debut in a test match against Pakistan held at Karachi in 2003. Cricketers like Mohammad Hafeez, Shabbir Ahmed, Umar Gul and Yasir Hameed also made their test debut on the same day. In the first innings, Saleh scored 26 runs off 57 balls. He caught and bowled Yousuf Youhana at 46 runs to claim his first test wicket. After giving away just 9 runs and claiming a wicket in the 5 overs he bowled in the first innings, Saleh contributed 60 runs in the second innings. He bowled only 2 overs and gave away 12 runs in the second innings before Pakistan won the match by 7 wickets.

The same year he also debuted in One Day International cricket against Pakistan at Multan. Saleh did not bowl in that match however scored 25 runs after facing 46 balls. Pakistan won the match by 137 runs. In 2004, Saleh was the captain of the team that went to England for the Champions Trophy. In 2006, he became the third Bangladeshi cricketer to score 100 runs in a One day International when he scored 108 not out against Kenya. He was also part of the 2007 World Cup Bangladesh team.

In a total of 24 test matches that Saleh has played, he has scored 1141 runs and claimed 2 wickets. He also has a total of 1005 runs and 15 wickets to his name in the 43 ODI’s he has played.
