Christopher Bobby Mpofu is a cricketer from Zimbabwe who is mainly a tall seam bowler. He is one of the cricketers who have been offered an opportunity at International cricket due to the departure of some rebels. Mpofu hits the pitch hard and can get good away movement but similar to many young quick bowlers he has a major problem regarding the consistency. Overall he appears to be one of the few cricketers who have the potential to carve a decent career.

Technically speaking Mpofu has a good action however to have the best use of his height he must make a better brace of the front leg during the delivery stride instead of collapsing which he does currently.

His ODI debut was against England in October 2004 and in this match his performance resulted in some anxious moments for the top-order of England. In his initial Test appearances he finished with a statistics of 3 for 343 in 4 matches and lost his place.
