Rajasthan Royals will be up against the Chennai Super Kings in the first semifinal match of the current edition of the champions league t20 to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, October 4.
Rajasthan Royals are undefeated in the tournament thus far and they will be looking to keep it that way when the men in yellow come to their fortress.
The Royals do have a big advantage over their opponents after having won all of their last 12 games at this venue. Rahul Dravid has led a side which comprises of youngsters combined with the right amount of experienced internationals.
The determination of the players has been there for everyone to see and it has been delightful to see the Rajasthan Royals perform the way that they have considering the fact that their budget is a lot less than most of the teams that they have been competing against.
Shane Watson should be back in his elements for this match. The Australian is a guy who relishes big challenges and this would certainly fall in that category and while he hasn’t really shown what he can do, he is a big-match player.
Sanju Samson has also shown that he is never scared to play his shots no matter how big the opposition are and that makes him one hell of a dangerous player on the eve of this semifinal.
Chennai Super Kings on the other hand have been well led by MS Dhoni in this edition of the CLT20. However, it looked as if there was some complacency that has crept in the team when they went on to lose their last Group match.
This will be a do or die match and in this situation, one would put their money on Dhoni to do the talking with the bat in hand.
However, in Michael Hussey, the Chennai Super Kings have somebody who can provide a great start to the innings as well as play the role of the anchor who scores at a commendable pace. Dhoni and Hussey will be the key men for the Chennai Super Kings.
Expecting a really tough game with Dravid playing in last T20 tournament and a defeat here ensuring it’s his last game.
