The Chennai Super Kings will be playing at home at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai when the Kolkata Knight Riders come calling on Sunday, April 28.
Chennai Super Kings have had some results going their way and have built some momentum over the past week. A lot of the credit for the same goes to skipper MS Dhoni who helped his team across the line in more than one occasion during this season of the IPL.
Other players who have been instrumental in their success have been Michael Hussey, Suresh Raina (evidently back in form), Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja who has come in handy lower down the order.
The Chennai Super Kings also have some good bowlers in the form of R Ashwin, Mohit Sarma, and Chris Morris in their ranks who are quite effective at their jobs.
The Super Kings will be looking to do their basics right as they bid to break into the top four with a win over the defending champions.
The Kolkata Knight Riders will be back to the venue where they tasted victory in the IPL 2012 final and perhaps that can help motivate the side in their quest for a top four berth after a dismal first half of IPL 2013.
The men who have let the team down on most occasions have been Yusuf Pathan, Manoj Tiwary, and M Bisla. Pathan is still a hit and a miss case while Manoj Tiwary has shown some form against the Mumbai Indians before being dropped for the last game against the Kings XI Punjab, a match where Bisla fired.
The likes of Gautam Gambhir, Jacques Kallis, and Eoin Morgan are the people who will need to take responsibility as far as batting is concerned. The likes of Sunil Narine, Sachithra Senanayake, Kallis, Balaji and company have the ability to do the rest.
