Rohit Sharma who created a lot of buzz in the cricketing world by his stupendous performance in the first two editions of the IPL has now lost his form.
He appears listless and is not able to meet the expectations of his fans. He has failed at the crucial situations when India needed him the most. Then what is the need of such player who is not able to perform when his team needs him the most.
Many other reasons have also forced the selectors and team management to think about the future of Rohit Sharma.
Here are some of the reasons that support the fact that he should be dropped from the team.
Inconsistency: This guy who was once thought to be the perfect replacement of Rahul Dravid has lost his form. He is not able to perform consistently and this is the main reason that there is a big question mark against his name. He performs when top order performs but he miserably fails when team needs him.
Critics are literally bashing the selectors for selecting once again. In point of fact, their criticism is right because he is not able to score runs consistently.
Poor form: There is no doubt that he is going through a bad patch of his career and looking at the current situation it would be a prudent decision to go back to domestic cricket and gain some form.
His long bad form is getting on the nerves of Indian cricket fans therefore it would be wise that he should be dropped from the team and some other good young talented player should be given a chance.
Strong bench strength: Last but not the least, strong bench strength also asks that he should be shown the exit door. When you have talented players like Manoj Tiwari and Rahane then what is the need of relying on a player who has always disappointed you?
It is high time. Rohit Sharma should learn from his mistakes and come back strongly. But for now he must be dropped from the India team.
