The Match:
In this 58th game of the Indian Premier League, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will play the Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It is an interesting position for the two sides, who are both in the top four in the points table – Bangalore is at the number three position while Kolkata is placed fourth.

In fact, Bangalore are definitely through while Kolkata need to win only one of their remaining three game to get there. Bangalore have 15 points from 11 games and Kolkata have 14. Interestingly, the two teams at the top of the table are at 16 points apiece – so, a Bangalore win will take them above these two while if Kolkata win, there will be a three-way tie for the top spot.
Ground Conditions: The game will be played at Bangalore where the two sides will look to ensure that they can get the best of the conditions – batting first. This is because the ball will bounce a little more to begin with and will make it easy to bat before the pitch may turn a little slower.
The Teams: The Royal Challengers Bangalore have won six games in a row and the reason for that has been the one batsman, Chris Gayle. Daniel Vettori has called Gayle his lucky charm, but most importantly, it has been the batting of Gayle that has helped the side out immensely at the top of the innings.
Gayle has been in such an explosive form that he has hit two centuries, a half century and a couple of 40s in the six games that he has played in and that means that the opposition sides are left with no option but to pray for his early departure!
Kolkata Knight Riders have relied heavily on the bowling of Iqbal Abdulla, who is a left-arm spin bowler and how he bowls at Gayle will be the most important part of the game.
Players to look out for: For the Kolkata Knight Riders, it will be the batting of Gautam Gambhir which could make all the difference. On the other hand, it will be the backup support of de Villiers and Virat Kohli who will need to prop the side up if things go wrong in the innings.
