The Match:
In what will be a potentially explosive encounter of the tournament, the Kolkata Knight Riders will host the Chennai Super Kings in the 48th game of the IPL this season. The two teams are evenly placed in the tournament and have much to play for given the position they find themselves in. 
How the two teams match up:
The two teams have 12 points each. However, the Super Kings have played nine matches, which is one less than what the Kolkata side has played. This means that the Knight Riders will definitely want to win this more than the Super Kings, as a loss could leave them requiring two wins out of their last three games to make it through to the last four stage.
Ground Conditions: It will be played in the slow and low conditions at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The two teams had earlier met at Chennai and the Super Kings had won the game easily.
The Teams: The Chennai Super Kings do not change things around for no reason and they have played with a similar 11 throughout the tournament once their Australian imports had joined the side. Michael Hussey continues to stand out with another man of the match coming his way in the previous game while Murali Vijay remains shorn of runs. Suresh Raina’s return to form is good news too.
The bowling has come well together and the way that Shadab Jakati has bowled so far has been impressive. Jakati will look to ensure that he can continue with his form on a track where another left-handed bowler, Iqbal Abdulla, has done a good job.
The Knight Riders will look to ensure that they can overcome the previous loss at the hands of the Tuskers. To be fair to the side, they had done well to restrict the Tuskers’ batting till the end of the 19th over before Brad Hodge went hammer and tongs in the final over. The good news was that Jacques Kallis found some form and went on to assist the side in getting to a good score.
Brett Lee went for a lot of runs but he should be a part of the eleven irrespective of the off-day that he had.
Players to look out for: The Kolkata Knight Riders will look to Iqbal Abdulla to get going while the Super Kings will hope that MS Dhoni is also due for a big one with the bat.
Prediction: Kolkata could upset the Chennai applecart.
