The Match: The Deccan Chargers will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 42nd game of the Indian Premier League.

The Match: The Deccan Chargers will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 42nd game of the Indian Premier League. The Chargers will host this game and the game will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, a ground where the Chargers have won only one game over two seasons of the IPL. Will he captain the side later?>

How the two teams match up: When one looks at the points table, the Kolkata Knight Riders are at the second spot whereas the Deccan Chargers are way down. The Knight Riders have won five out of their eight games whereas the Chargers have won three of the same number of games. Expect a big one>

Ground Conditions: Unlike the tracks back home for the Knight Riders, this one will have a fair carry and will make batting much easier for the two sides. The two sides will look to ensure that they try and chase the total down instead of setting them given that batting could ease out in the second half of the game.

The Teams: The Deccan Chargers went down to the Super Kings in the previous game thanks to their inept ability to bat in the middle overs. The opener, Sunny Sohal provided them with the best platform that they could have in the game but the rest of the side had collapsed without any fight.

It is sad to see someone like Cameron White prod and push at deliveries rather than hit them out of the park which he has done in the past. The lost form notwithstanding, one gets the sense that White will captain the side when Kumar Sangakkara leaves the shores for the international commitments and that will mean that the side will look to have him in the side.

The Knight Riders should go into the game with the same eleven in all probability. They had won the last two games in a row and much to their liking, had also seen Eoin Morgan showing traces of good form, when he opened the innings and batted with much aggression.

Players to look out for: How Brett Lee bowls on such a pitch which is easier to bat on than the one at Kolkata will be interesting. On the other hand, the Chargers will need their captain Sangakkara to come good.

Prediction: Kolkata should be favourites for this one but one thing is for certain; they will find it a challenge to adjust to the easier tracks of the stadium.
