Zimbabwe and Kenya will face off against each other in a non sequential match in Group A, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, March 20. Both teams have been knocked out of the tournament and will be just playing for pride. Will need to bat well>

Zimbabwe are in fifth spot with one win against Canada and Kenya are in last spot with no wins to their name. Will he play?>

This has been a disappointing World Cup for both the teams. Both teams have regressed from the previous World Cups and have not been able to play strong teams like they played in the past. They have been thrashed by the four big teams in the group and Kenya had the ignominy of losing badly to Canada as well.

Zimbabwe beat Canada pretty easily and that remains as their only highlight in this World Cup. However, they can take plenty of positives from this World Cup, especially the performances of their spin bowlers. Raymond Price has been very effective with the new ball and has been well complemented in the middle overs by Prosper Utseya and Graeme Cremer. However, their batting has let them down in almost all games, save the one against Canada, in which they scored 299.

Zimbabwe need not worry though. Kenya’s bowling and batting has been one of the worst in this tournament and have not threatened any team, even a bit. They have surrendered meekly to every opposition, but they batted pretty well in their last game against Australia.

This game should be very interesting as the Kenyans would not want to go home empty handed like the Netherlands. They would want to attack Zimbabwe, who do not have a good fifth bowler. Collins Obuya has been the lone bright spot for Kenya and will be very confident after that excellent 98 against Australia. He will be the key again for them if they want to upset Zimbabwe.
