South Africa are titans of cricketing world, Zimbabwe are a re-born side with goals, ambitions and hunger for success. The later wants to regain Test status and have come a long way from a side drowned into an abyss once. 
The motivation for both the teams is to prepare themselves for the World Cup in February next year. South Africans as a nation are rejoicing after a successful World Cup in their country but love for cricket is hardly ever missed in the country. The format of T20 is such that any team has a chance against any team and the Zimbabwean players and officials have said on many occasions that now they give themselves a change against any side.

Mark Boucher has been axed, while the controversial overlook Ryan McLaren has replaced Albie Morkel after he was sidelined with injury.
Despite all these changes South Africans looks a calm unit, more than capable of overturning any side in world cricket. Generally many of their players are in good touch and the buildup practice leading to World Cup would be valuable to them.
Zimbabwe, a cricketing nation after many hardships, are on the rise once again. Their performances against WI, India, Sri Lanka and Ireland recently have made them into a fighting unit ready to realize their dream of returning to Test cricket.
With good bowling and fielding standards, Zimbabwe especially in shortest format can challenge bigger teams. In the warm up matches of ICC World T20, they bagged consecutive victories against the champions then Pakistan and the mighty Australia. Zimbabweans are not afraid to take on big teams, they approach cricket aggressively.
