Pakistani middle-order batsman, Yasir Hameed has been allegedly caught in camera talking to the British tabloid, News of the World, claiming that almost all the Pakistani players were behind match-fixing. Hameed has also said that it was because he had rejected an offer of more than 100,000 pounds from a book-maker, he was out of the side and did not get his chances. All matches fixed?>

According to the video released by the British tabloid, Hameed claimed that some of the Pakistani players have been fixing many matches. He added that he felt that almost all the games were fixed involving Pakistani players.

Hameed had recently played in the third and the fourth Test match of the series against England after his rest of the more illustrious partners had failed in the other games.

It was also revealed in the video that he said that he did not know what the players were up to. He added that he thought that the Scotland Yard were after them for ages and yet, the players have been doing what they have been doing.

However, the ICC said that if the player had indeed been approached by someone to throw away games, he hadn’t informed the ICC’s anti-corruption unit and as such, was in the breach of the anti-corruption code.

Later, Hameed denied the story and said that he had not given any such interviews and that he was concentrating solely on his cricket.
