The new chairman of the IPL, in place of suspended Lalit Modi, Chirayu Amin met up with team owners and spoke on a variety of issues.

According to the RCB owner, Vijay Mallya, the owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore, wanted to continue with the same format of the tournament. This meant that they wanted 94 games to be played, apart from having a salary cap of US$9m at the auction.

Mallya also said that the side will prefer having all the players back into the pool instead of retaining some of them within the side. It was also suggested that Mallya would act as the spokesperson for the IPL franchises.

The IPL franchises also said that while they missed Lalit Modi, and they hoped he would get the justice, it was also the time to look forward.
