Malik termed negative influence in video

Former coach Intikhab Alam, who was a part of the team management on the tour of Australia said to the investigating committee, “He (Malik) is a negative person and he creates problems. I wanted him to be sent back home,”

Intikhab also said that Malik had initially said that he would bat at the number three position in Tests in New Zealand but pulled out at the eleventh hour.

A committee member from the investigations tad termed Malik as a termite and a bad influence on the rest of the junior players.

The PCB had taken action against some of the Pakistani players, including Malik, after the committee concluded its investigations, though they never made public the report. Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan were banned indefinitely, Malik and Naved-ul-Hasan were banned for a year while Shahid Afridi and the Akmal brothers were fined and placed on probation for six months for specific incidents of indiscipline.
