New Zealand pace bowler, Shane Bond has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. only an year back, Bond had returned to international cricket after having played in the ICL, but he first retired from Test match cricket and is now out of the other formats as well.>
Bond announced that he did not want to prolong his career for the sake of doing so, if he could not perform to the best of his abilities. Bond has played in international career for almost nine years, and has often being called the second best pace bowler that New Zealand had produced since Sir Richard Hadlee.
Bond has also said that he will no longer be a part of the IPL either.
Bond said, βI know the time is right for me to step down. I have given it everything when playing for the Black Caps. I will miss the camaraderie because it has been a privilege to play along such a great bunch of guys who are so committed to do their best for New Zealand. His international figures read, 87 wickets at 22.09 in 18 Tests, 147 at 20.88 in 82 ODIs, and 25 at 21.72 in 20 Twenty20 internationals.
