Pakistan suffered from another injury as Umar Akmal complained of a hip injury and did not bat in the nets during their preparatory camp at Lahore.
Akmal joins the list of some other Pakistani cricketers, Umar Gul, Yasser Arafat and Fawad Alam, all of whom have been injured during the camp, and have not been seen participating for some time. The camp is being held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore and is seen more from the point of getting the side to gel together.
The camp is said to be a very rigorous one and concentrates on the fielding and the fitness of the players.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi, the Pakistani captain had said that not playing in the IPL was a blessing in disguise for the players, as it allowed them the chance to gel together in the side.
Pakistan had won the previous edition of the ICC World T20 that was played in 2009 by beating Sri Lanka in the final.
