Sourav Ganguly was docked $40,000 from his match fee after he was found bowling his overs rather slowly in the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils. 
Ganguly is the captain of the Kolkata side and has already transgressed once before this in the tournament. The first time a side bowls their overs slowly, the captain is fined $20,000 and for the second such offence, they are fined $40,000.
Along with the captain, the entire playing eleven is also fined $10,000 for each of these offences.
Already Kumar Sangakkara has overshot the time limit on three occasions and has been banned by the IPL once, after been fined a total of almost $100,000. Sachin Tendulkar has also been fined $40,000 whereas Gautam Gambhir was fined $20,000 on one occasion.
In the earlier game, S Sreesanth was penalised 20% of his match fee against the Rajasthan Royals for arguing with the umpire and showing sarcasm towards the batsman, Michael Lumb by clapping loudly at him.
