The Shoaib Malik marriage saga seems to have got murkier by the minute. According to latest reports, the Indian police has seized the passport of the former Pakistan cricketer and questioned him for over ninety minutes for the same. >
Earlier, Malik had come to Hyderabad to marry Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza, but was accused by Ayesha Siddiqui of having married her in 2002. Malik had earlier flatly denied this claim, but later circulated a press statement which said that he was cheated into a marriage by Ayesha.
Malik said in his release, that he was shown different pictures of Ayesha to the real girl, and had married her over the telephone. He said that he was not allowed to meet Ayesha even after marriage and came to know about the real Ayesha by accident.
Malik also said that earlier, Ayesha had earlier claimed that she was the cousin of the girl showed in the pictures. According to him, Ayesha did not meet on the grounds of being fat and that she was trying to reduce.
The former Pakistan captain said that he had told everything to Sania Mirza and her parents and that they knew what the truth was.
