Betting Preview of Chennai v Rajasthan at Chennai

The Chennai Super Kings will face the Rajasthan Royals in Chennai in the first game of the Super Saturday.

The Chennai Super Kings will face the Rajasthan Royals in Chennai in the first game of the Super Saturday. It becomes an important match for both the sides, as do the rest of them, given that now, a loss could sting much more and add a lot more pressure than it would have done earlier. Will he play for Chennai?>

The two sides had met earlier in the tournament and Chennai had lost out to the Royals. However, this time around, the things would be a tad different given that the match will be played in Chennai. The humidity and the heat can get to the best of the players, and it will be interesting to see how the away team copes with the conditions. Rattled in the previous game>

That said, the Chennai side will look to bowl much better than they have so far. Of course, the addition of Thilan Thushara at the top of the order has been a good change and has helped throttling the runs, whereas Doug Bollinger should be joining in the squad.

However, again, Bollinger would be coming in from the cold climes of New Zealand, and to expect him to adjust to the weather in Chennai would be expecting a tad too much. There is a good chance that the side may give him a game or two of break before he makes his IPL debut.

For the Royals, the performances have been good so far, but they will know that the side will look to overcome the previous loss by looking to bat first. One thought that the side came under a lot of pressure in the previous game and that affected their batting while chasing a reasonably tough task. One also thought that Warne was himself rattled by the turn of events and the rest of the side followed suit.

One can expect Warne to be better prepared for such an assault, but the fact of the matter is that the moment is gone, and much like it has happened to other sides, the losing streak could well begin. The bookies also seem to agree as they offer 4/5 (Stan James) for the Chennai team to win their fourth game of the tournament and put their name in the hat, as compared to Rajasthan Royals (6/5 at Totesport). My favourite is Chennai because I do not think the Royals would be able to handle the heat.
