Today’s game will see the two bottom-placed sides, Kings XI Punjab play the Rajasthan Royals in the game at the Motera in Ahmedabad. Both the sides have only one win out of the four games that they have played so far and it is very evident that the game will assume a lot of importance for the sides. 
Punjab will go into the match after having clinched a thrilling encounter at M Chidambaram in Chennai, when they beat the Chennai side in a Super Over after the match ended in a tie. This means that they will go into the game full of confidence and will look to make the best of the adrenaline that would have been sent pumping. 
Yuvraj Singh’s return to form would be the biggest plus that they would take away from the game.
As compared to that, the Rajasthan Royals will be confident as well. And the reason behind that will be that they easily put one across the Kolkata Knight Riders in a game that barely rose up to the heights it was expected to. The Royals went into the game with a totals different strategy, got Adam Voges in, opened with a spinner and in the end, easily won the game.
Shane Warne would now understand that he will need to shuffle things around through the tournament and get the players to do things differently. This could also mean that the spinners opening bowling option, and things like Yusuf Pathan even opening the batting would be something that Warne would be looking at.
Kings XI Punjab definitely looks the better of the two sides on paper, and will go into the match as favourites; 7/10 at Epekt.com, as compared to 13/10 (Boylesports) for a Royals’ win. Personal gut feel is that the Royals will have a surprise or two up their sleeve and could get the better of Punjab.
