Betting Preview of Delhi v Chennai at Delhi

Delhi Daredevils will take on the Chennai Super Kings in their fourth game of the tournament.

Delhi Daredevils will take on the Chennai Super Kings in their fourth game of the tournament. The match will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla, and will be Delhi’s fourth game of the tournament. Delhi has won two out of their three games, whereas Chennai has played two and won only won so far. Will miss the game for Delhi>

The Delhi side will go into the game knowing very well the conditions at home after having lost to Mumbai on the ground here. They will of course, miss out on the services of their captain Gautam Gambhir, who had pulled his hamstring, and so will be led by Dinesh karthik, the vice-captain of the side. Will miss the game for Chennai!>

Their batting thus will go for a rejig and there is a good chance that Dave Warner could now make it to the side. It, however, remains to be seen whom will he replace because, there are only four foreigners allowed in the team and with the ouster of Gambhir, the other four still remain in the side. AB de Villiers seems to be a decent choice, which will mean that Warner and Sehwag will open the batting, to be followed by Dilshan with the number four position to be taken by an Indian batsman.

For the Chennai side, the problems are no different. They will also be without their captain, MS Dhoni who had sustained an elbow injury in the previous game against Kolkata. This will mean that the side will have a new captain and a new wicket-keeper! In all probabilities Suresh Raina will take over the reigns of the side, while Parhiv Patel will be the wicket-keeper.

Chennai had finally found their bearings in the last game against the Kolkata side, but will need the openers to fire. There have been virtually no partnerships at the top of the innings and that will be a huge worry for the side. Mathew Hayden will be the man to watch out for.

For now, the Daredevils go into the game as favourites (4/6 at Stan James) as compared to the Chennai Super Kings (6/5). One would have said that the Chennai side is not one to discounted, but the absence of Dhoni will hurt them much more than the absence of Gambhir will affect Delhi.
