Ravindra Jadeja has missed his last bus that could have taken him to the IPL 2010. The league’s governing council has rejected his appeal to remove his ban on participating at the IPL (Indian Premier League). A meeting was held at Mumbai to discuss the matter on 7th March, 2010 that was attended by the BCCI President, Shankar Manohar.
The appeal was put forward by Niranjan Shah, the vice-chairman of IPL. Lalit Modi, the IPL Chairman has already said that the matter is not within his hands and Manohar was the one who could call the final word on the matter. On the other hand, Jadeja says that he had his move to negotiate with the other franchises approved by the BCCI. According to Jadeja, his contract with the Rajasthan Royals had expired on 31st December, 2009 after which there were no indications so as to when it was going to be renewed.
The president of the Saurashtra Cricket Association, Shah, has already requested to the BCCI for a reduction on the one-year ban. Jadeja is an active member of the Saurashtra Cricket Association and regularly plays domestic cricket for his team. However, all the pleas have been rejected.
