The England team director, Andy Flower> is of a view that the team, especially the Twenty20 match against Pakistan has proved that they are heading towards the right path. He also added that there is much work on the hold prior to their successive reach to the top.

What was needed was a blistering unbeaten 46 points off the 18 balls from Abdul Razzaq at the match which would earn the Pakistan team to share the two match series. England recorded a seven wicket win at the opening match in Dubai prior to this game.

Moreover, with a host of plus points for the England team, due to the unbeaten 67 from Eoin Morgan, 105 runs in two games from Kevin Pietersen and five wickets from Graeme Swann, the match was naturally won by the England team. In this shortest game, England however had to struggle a lot with Flower making most of the effort to match the present World Twenty20 champions. Andy Flower told the media that the team believed in playing good cricket with successive games so far. Also, he was happy to see his teammate, Pietersen dominating and attacking like he was asked to do so. On the other hand, Morgan played rather excellently in the first game with Swann giving his best in both the games.

After the victory, the England team plans to fly to Dhaka in order to prepare for the three match one day series against the Bangladesh team with an addition to the England team of Craig Kieswetter. Andy has even planned ideas for Paul Collingwood, the Twenty20 captain with the selectors having their own ideas on improvising the England team. Kieswetter is another upcoming South African born player, who has qualified to play for the England team and will be challenging to see him in the provisional squad. He was being evaluated by the selectors too during the last English summer and was quite impressed with his output. He looked fit, strong, is a talented player and an impressive player. Flower even confirmed that Collingwood would serve as a official vice captain to Alastair Cook at the one day and test campaign to be held in Bangladesh.
