Ricky Ponting, the Australian skipper is sure that his team
Prior to this, Pakistan cricket team has won one of the nine test matches in 2009. However, Ponting said that they have been an alarming and sort of a risky team in spite of their recent unassuming records. Ponting also added that he knew right from the start that his entire team was on a dangerous side after their 35 run victory against the West Indies team in the third test match.
Ponting even pointed some of the best players who have made the Pakistan team stronger than before. These include the young left armer, 17 year old Mohammad Aamer, Mohammad Asif and the good bowler, Umar Gul. Then, there is Danish Kaneria, who has joined the team again. Danish is a world class leg spinner, as Ponting has noticed in his previous matches and Saeed Ajmal too, who is another world class off spinner.
As a whole, the entire Pakistan team seems to be with some exceptional players. However, Ponting is worried that if the team sticks together and plays in a team, than it would be dangerous for his team to cope up with. So the plan is to ensure that they don’t gel very much and perform well. The Australian team also has to ensure that as they have learnt their lessons from this series, they would get along quite well.
As per Ponting, Pakistan appears to be well warmed up for their upcoming test series against the Australian team after their dominant display against Tasmania in the tour match held at Bellerive Oval.
