Kent off-spinner James Tredwell has been selected in the test squad in replacement of Graeme Swann who is recovering from a side injury. The management has also added that Swann would regain his place at the first match played at Centurion.

Swann suffered a side injury and was declared unfit to play the second T20 match as well as the first 2 one-day matches. He was replaced by Adil Rashid, however, Tredwell will join the team for the rest of the series. Swann has played well in the first 2 one dayers against South African Invitational XI in East London by dismissing 6 for 55 runs and 1 for 65 runs respectively.

Andy Flower, the England skipper commented upon the matter, ā€œGraeme’s injury is improving and we expect him to be available for the first Test starting on Wednesday. But with a further three matches to come after Centurion we have decided that we need a ā€˜like for like’ replacement on hand for Graeme should this be required later in the tour.ā€

England> has had their full share of miseries at the ongoing tour losing quite a few players to injuries. While pacer James Anderson is battling with a knee injury, Ryan Sidebottom has just recovered from his side strain.
