It has been the first time in the history of women’s cricket that many of the England’s women’s ICC World Twenty20 winning team played out for their respective countries in the ECB Women’s County Twenty20 Cup.
England Captain Charlotte Edwards along with her international team mate Lydia Greenway, played in the star filled Division One Tournament, at Reading CC’s Sonning Lane ground.
There were also Claire Taylor along with Isa Guha who represented Berkshire, whilst Sarah Taylor appeared for Sussex along with Caroline Atkins, Holly Colvin and Laura Marsh.
Later on, in the Division Two tournament at the Wellingborough School, Danielle Hazell and Katherine Brunt played for Yorkshire. At the same time, Beth Morgan played for Middlesex in Division Three at Rugby School.
