Breaking News: Andrew Symonds sent back home!

In one of the biggest news in the cricketing world, Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been sent back home from his country’s ICC World T20 campaign.

In one of the biggest news in the cricketing world, Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been sent back home from his country’s ICC World T20 campaign. The official reason given for the same has been that Symonds had been charged with an alcohol-related offence, again! Sent back!> Symonds had been on a virtual probation ever since he missed a team-meeting because he had gone fishing. There have been other minor to major offences as well, including calling opposite cricketers like Brendon McCullum a piece of s***, and getting involved in brawls with his Australian team-mates. All of it had culminated into a near-torn contract and a loss of place from the Australian squad for the Ashes. Yet, Symonds was apparently caught transgressing the rules set by the Australian management when he began drinking while watching the State of Origin rugby league match with his friends.

The Aussie captain Ricky Ponting had called for a press conference and said that Symonds had led his team and the team-mates down with this breaking of contract. He said, “There’s no doubting Andrew’s capabilities as a player, but there are other things happening around him that made the decision we’ve come to a relatively easy one.”

With this incident, Symonds future in the Australian team is unsure and there is a reasonable chance that the Australian cricket board may end up tearing his national contract. However, there are enough speculations that say that he may end up announcing his retirement from international cricket before any such eventuality occurs. image”Ricky Ponting:Will Ponting survive without his best all-rounder?> The CEO of Cricket Australia, James Sutherland, admitted that these issues weren’t too serious, but when taken as a part of the bigger picture, hurt the Australian cricket as a whole.

Cricket Australia has also applied to the technical committee to see whether a replacement for Andrew Symonds is possible. Usually, these replacements are given on the grounds of injury or any such extreme conditions.

Symonds plays for the Deccan Chargers, and if he does announce his retirement, he will be left with only his franchises to play for. Last year, he became the first ever foreign player to be bought for over a million dollars in the IPL.
